The strikeout leader in Class 3A turned in one of his most impressive performances of the season in the Tornadoes 2-0 win against Lakes conference rival Spirit Lake. Through seven innings, Dvergsten was nearly perfect in his no hitter where he allowed just three runners to reach on walks while picking up 14 strikeouts.
