WAKEFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island has some of the highest commercial healthcare premiums paid by families and employers in the United States, according to a recent report from the Rhode Island Business Group on Health. From 2012 to 2022, health insurance premium costs in Rhode Island rose from 23 to 28% of median household income.
