The National Archives and Records Administration is investigating the incident. Washington’s National Archives Rotunda was forced to close to the public on Feb. 14 after two individuals threw red powder on the casing that protects the U.S. Constitution. The incident took place at about 2:30 p.m. and two men were immediately detained by security personnel, according to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
