Sale of Dallas Mavericks gives team ‘deep pockets,’ moves Mark Cuban closer toward mission

Shock somewhat dissipated Wednesday as reality set in that Mark Cuban is, in fact, selling a majority stake of the Dallas Mavericks to two families that head the Las Vegas Sands Corp. The Adelson and Dumont families issued a statement confirming the binding purchase agreement to become majority owner and represent the Mavericks on the NBA’s Board of Governors.
