Meta, Instagram Sued By 33 US States Alleging ‘Damaging’ Impact on Young Americans

Dozens of US states have come together to file a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta Platforms and Instagram that alleges the company and its social media platforms employ "exploitative and harmful" practices toward children and young people.

The states allege that Meta and Instagram have had a "sweeping damaging" impact on American children and teens and have exacerbated a mental health crisis among young people in the U.S.
